For example, the letter “A” originated from the Phoenician alphabet. It was originally turned sideways or upside down while its shape resembled one of an ox head.
The letter “R” has its origins in Ancient Egypt, where it mimicked the profile of a human head and was pronounced “resh,” which meant “head.” The Greeks and the Romans later modified the letter to suit their needs and gave it its current shape.
