A mini Australian Sheppard named Kaido recently became an internet sensation thanks to his habit of helping clear the way for emergency vehicles by matching their sirens with adorable “awoo” sounds.
Kaido and his human Matt “Matty” Fernandez frequently take bike rides across their native New York City. While riding the bike, they occasionally encounter ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles trying to navigate congested streets.
Once Kaido, who is usually nestled in a bike chair or a backpack on Matty’s back, hears the sirens, he immediately starts howling. Matty refers to this type of sound as “awoo,” which lets others know that they should pay attention and let the emergency vehicles pass.
Matty has been sharing the videos of Kaido’s “awoos” on TikTok, and judging by the comments, the internet users love it.
“He is putting his whole heart and soul in it. Look at his head going so far back,” one TikToker commented.
“The little paw on your shoulder, the full head tilt back for the howl, hair blowing in the wind, and stranger joining in! This video is happiness,” another added.
